Isuzu Philippines delivers 25 Traviz barangay emergency response vehicles to Tiaong, Quezon

Isuzu Philippines delivered 25 Traviz lightweight trucks to the municipality of Tiaong in Quezon Province last week. The units are to be deployed as barangay-based ambulances and are fitted out with utility van (UV) rear bodies configured for emergency response roles with single-side foldaway benches and rear AC extended ducting.

Press Statement by Isuzu Philippines Corp. (IPC), ” Isuzu PH turns over 25 Traviz units to Tiaong LGU,” 2021:

The progressive municipality of Tiaong in Quezon Province will be seeing a fleet of Isuzu Traviz light duty trucks performing efficient and effective multi-purpose duties for its citizens.

In a simple turn over ceremony held last January 11, Isuzu Philippines Corporation turned over 25 units of its lightweight truck, Traviz, fitted with emergency response-type utility van body to local officials of Tiaong at the municipal grounds.

IPC executives, led by Sales Division Head Joseph Bautista, Dealer Sales Department Head Mario Ojales, and Dealer Sales Section Head Danny Nunez, along with officers of the facilitating dealership Isuzu Pagbilao, namely its President and General Manager Marcel B. Tolentino, Sales Director Marcel Joseph A. Tolentino, and Truck Elite Sales Executive Rolan Isaac Torres, were on hand to turn over the Traviz units to Tiaong officials led by Mayor Ramon Preza, Vice Mayor William Razon, and Councilor JP Preza. With 25 barangay captains of the municipality, to whom each unit will be assigned, were also present to witness the event.

In his special message, Bautista reiterated that, through the Traviz, IPC continues its strong partnership with various sectors of Philippine society, especially in public service, in order to fulfill its commitment to be “Your Responsible Partner”.

“We are confident that these Isuzu Traviz lightweight trucks will perform even beyond expectations for the different barangays here in Tiaong, and you can count on its durability and reliability that your municipality made a very wise investment in purchasing these Isuzu trucks—because an Isuzu truck really goes a long way,” he said.

The Isuzu Traviz is powered by the Euro 4-rated 4JA1 2.5-liter Direct Injection Common Rail Blue Power diesel engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, and is rated to carry up to 1.6 tons of payload, the heaviest in the lightweight truck category. This makes it ideal for the Traviz to offer numerous advantages, such as interior cab spaciousness with wider cabins and better legroom, and a more ergonomic and comfortable—thus safer—driving position. Better maneuverability and the short turning radius of 4.5 meters make the Traviz ideal for multi-purpose trips in various barangays.

Apart from these features, two other key factors that made the Tiaong local government decide to purchase the Traviz were Isuzu Philippines’ commitment to comprehensive aftersales and nationwide parts availability, and their long-standing relationship with Isuzu Pagbilao who has been consistently assisting the municipality in its transportation needs.

November and December’s 11 new Caltex stations bring 2020’s total to 30 new stations, set stage for 2021 growth

Chevron Philippines opened 30 new Caltex filling stations last year, finishing with 11 stations spread out through Luzon, the Visayas and Mindano in the last two months of 2020. These openings bring the Caltex network to almost 650 filling stations nationwide, stations they expect to keep adding to this year.

Press Statement by Chevron Philippines, Inc. (CPI), “Caltex surges with 11 new stations in last two months to start strong in 2021,” 2021:

Manila, Philippines–Clean and high-quality fuels are now made available in more provinces as Caltex, marketed by Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), recently opened new service stations in Pampanga, Pangasinan, Bataan, Batangas, Cebu, and Bukidnon in support of the reopening of the economy. This brings the total number of newly-opened Caltex stations in 2020 to 30.

Caltex presently has a growing retail structure composed of nearly 650 retail stations across the archipelago, a figure that is expected to climb as Caltex opens more stations this year. This is a testament to the success of its retailer-owned retailer-operated business model.

CPI recently opened a Caltex service station in the municipality of Guagua, Pampanga. Situated along the Jose Abad Santos Avenue, Barangay San Antonio, this 12-pump fueling station is now ready to supply fuel for motorists traveling in the area and to support the transport of forestry and fishery resources, such as rice, corn, and tilapia, which are staples in the province.

Another Caltex service station stands in the highly urbanized Olongapo City. Located along the busy stretch of Rizal Avenue, this service station now serves the fuel needs of residents in Barangay West Bajac-Bajac and its neighboring districts.

The newly-established service station in Barangay Culis, Hermosa, Bataan also serves as a vital pit stop for private and commercial vehicles traversing the Roman Highway, which is a national arterial road that straddles 10 Bataan towns.

A new 18-pump Caltex fueling site also opened in Inosluban, Lipa City, Batangas and is now ready to cater to its residents and tourists. Aside from being once known as the coffee center of the world, Lipa City is also dubbed as the “Little Rome of the Philippines” for being home to many Catholic churches.

In Visayas, another Caltex station rose in San Fernando, a coastal municipality of Cebu. The area is part of Metro Cebu, which encompasses the largest domestic port in the Philippines. The fuel station’s presence in the area provides a reliable source of power for the engines of shipping and logistics vehicles operating around Metro Cebu.

Down south, two Caltex stations opened along the National Highway in Bukidnon, ensuring an uninterrupted journey for motorists in the area. The stations are located in the landlocked areas of Barangay Aglayan, Malaybalay City and Barangay Kisolon, Sumilao. Bukidnon is regarded as the “Food Basket of Mindanao” as it is a major producer of rice, corn, and sugarcane.

All Caltex stations carry the premium Euro 4 compliant fuel Caltex with Techron, which guarantees maximized vehicle performance, enhanced engine protection, and lower emissions. Aside from providing clean and quality fuels, Caltex also maintains strict safety protocols and offer contactless payment methods for safer travels.

“To match the Filipinos’ increasing demand for better fuel, while catering to key industries that are gradually reopening, we seek to sustain the upward trend of our retail network growth this year and onwards. We are constantly expanding our brick-and-mortar network to power a worthwhile journey for our customers wherever they are,” said CPI Country Chairman and General Manager Billy Liu.

The opening of more Caltex stations will help the local fuel industry meet the increasing demand stiffened by the country’s improving economy. According to the Asian Development Outlook 2020 Update, the Philippines’ Gross Domestic Product is forecast to grow by 6.5% in 2021.1

Caltex’s launch of new service stations and quality fuel products, partnerships, and latest promotions allow it to kick-start 2021 stronger and more equipped to serve the country’s fuel needs.

With new normal conditions increasing the need for urban-sized trucks on the transport grid, J&T Express Philippines has turned to Hino as they add more than a score of light- and medium-duty haulers to their cargo fleet. The recent turnover of seven Hino 300-series trucks is just the precursor for 30 more Hino units on order by J&T Express.

Press Statement by Hino Motors Philippines (HMP), “Hino, J&T Express forge partnership; add delivery trucks amid changing consumer demands,” 2020:

Manila, 26 November 2020 – Recognizing the importance of small to medium trucks in meeting the rising demand for online shopping and parcel delivery across the country, Hino Motors Philippines (HMP), the exclusive distributor of Hino trucks and buses in the Philippines, recently turned over seven units of the Hino 300 series to local courier service J&T Express Philippines.

The turnover ceremony was led by select representatives from Hino Motors Philippines, Hino Parañaque, and J&T Express.

The turnover ceremony, which was held at the courier’s Bagumbayan, Taguig warehouse, was graced by representatives from Hino Motors Philippines, Hino Parañaque and J&T Express. Physical distancing and other health protocols were strictly observed during the event.

“We extend Total Support to local businesses such as J&T who not only respond to the growing demand for online shopping, but also keep the economy moving. The world hasn’t been the same since March. But our mission of moving people and goods safely and responsibly, a commitment we had for the past 45 years, remains. Hino dealerships renovate and relocate amidst pandemic conditions

Two Hino dealerships on major Metro Manila transport routes have renovated or relocated their storefronts to better serve strategic locations for the major truck brand. Hino Balintawak in Grace Park, Caloocan City on EDSA and has renovated its showroom and Hino Pasig on C5 has moved to a better location along the major beltway.

In their press statement announcing these developments, Hino Philippines observed how new health protocols have made the public uncommonly anxious about common transport, citing this as their reason for supporting the Hino Balintawak renovation and Hino Pasig relocation–moves that improve their service capabilities.

Press Statement of Hino Motors Philippines (HMP), “Hino Balintawak and Hino Pasig dealerships get upgrades,” 2020:

Manila, Philippines | 3 September 2020 – Staying committed to providing highly reliable products and services, Hino Balintawak and Hino Pasig dealers stay abreast of the needs of its customers by upgrading their facilities. This initiative is supported by Hino Motors Philippines (HMP), the exclusive distributor of Hino trucks and buses in the country, as it cements the brand’s Total Support promise.

With different parts of the nation adopting varying state-mandated community health protocols, transportation has become a common concern among commuters and enterprises. Taking into account the rising need for modes of transportation, local market assessments and route considerations, HMP, has extended full support to both the Balintawak and Pasig dealerships in enhancing its overall service to be able to provide its consumers a more seamless experience in these trying times.

Hino Balintawak Full Line dealership façade

The renovated Balintawak showroom is strategically located along #5 EDSA, Brgy. 95 East Grace Park, Caloocan City 1403, easily accessible to motorists and commuters traversing the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx). The area is also convenient for those planning to go to Baguio and other nearby northern provinces through the newly completed Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEx) as soon as travel is allowed and safe. Furthermore, the Balintawak showroom has Hino’s Full Line 3S complete with sales, spare parts and after-sales services, guaranteeing a smooth and easy access for consumers. The showroom also houses Hino’s light, medium and heavy-duty truck lineup from the 300, 500 and 700 series.

Consequently, to enable more customers to access Hino’s 3S offering, Hino Pasig moved to #80 E. Rodriguez Jr. Ave. (C5), Brgy. Ugong Norte, Quezon City, a few kilometers away from its previous #100 E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue location. The Pasig dealership is housed in a 4,940 sqm. property, providing a bigger space for the light, medium and heavy-duty trucks and the mini, midi and big busses in display. The branch was also recognized as Hino’s 2017 Dealer of the Year because of aggressive and innovative sales programs and continuous, stable, dynamic and seamless business operations.

Service bay of Hino Pasig Full Line dealership

The renovation of the Balintawak showroom and relocation of the Pasig dealership are aligned with Hino’s Dealership Total Support Standardization program, which not only further strengthens HMP’s 45-year foothold in the country but also ensures continued high-quality service in all Hino dealerships nationwide. This move reinforces both the dealers’ and HMP’s promise of bringing high-caliber service to its customers, especially at a time when transportation is most crucial.

“As a company dedicated to contributing to local communities where we do business, HMP stands by its promise, in full support of our dealer-initiated movements, in providing more accessible products and quality services to our customers, considering how crucial a seamless transport of people and goods is these days. Our Total Support promise also led us to provide free shuttle rides to medical frontliners and other commuters as well as in launching an online shop through our official website for a safer platform for use by Filipinos across the country,” HMP President Mitsuharu Tabata shares.

Hino ensures its customers and employees that their health and safety are always the top priority for the company. All Hino dealerships and showrooms comply with the health and safety measures mandated by the Department of Health. Regular checking of temperature and sanitation are strictly observed to maintain a safe and clean environment.

Everyone entering the dealerships is required to hand sanitize with alcohol and wear face mask during the entire stay inside. Only a limited number of customers are allowed at a time in compliance to the community quarantine guidelines for each area across the country.

Caltex Havoline motorcycle engine oil line-up reintroduced with improved C.O.R.E.+ formulation for city traffic conditions

Chevron Philippines has reintroduced their motorcycle engine oil line-up with C.O.R.E.+ Technology, an improvement over the C.O.R.E. tech they had initially introduced here in 2017.

Grid from Chevron press statement

Fully synthetic, semi-synthetic and conventional mineral Caltex Havoline Super 4T for motorcycles and Havoline Supermatic 4T for scooters now come with the improved C.O.R.E.+ formulation that they assert to deliver better performance and cleaning properties suitable for punishing city traffic conditions.

Screenshot of page on C.O.R.E.+ technology from www.caltex.com/ph

The “E” in C.O.R.E.+ stands for Enhanced acceleration that’s achieved on Super 4T lubricants for manual transmission motorcycles with their proprietary ZoomTech additive which keeps gearboxes cooler and improves clutch grip under heavy loads and in hot climates.

With their extensive line-up of motorcycle engine lubricants, Chevron appears to be gearing up for the expanding role of two-wheelers on the nation’s transport grid, particularly now under quarantine conditions which cut back on public transport capacities.

Press Statement by Chevron Philippines, Inc. (CPI), “Caltex Havoline® new motorcycle products raise the bar for even better overall performance,” 2020:

Enjoy increased reliability and engine efficiency with Havoline’s proprietary C.O.R.E.+ Technology and ZOOMTECH

Manila, Philippines–Caltex Havoline, marketed by Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), today unveiled a new generation of four-stroke motorcycle and scooter engine oils that maximizes engine performance and delivers smooth engine operation on all road conditions. The new product line for motorcycles and scooters includes fully synthetic, semi-synthetic and mineral products formulated with Havoline’s signature C.O.R.E.+ Technology, and ZOOMTECH.

All Havoline Super 4T and SuperMatic 4T four-stroke motorcycle and scooter engine oils now come with the upgraded C.O.R.E.+ Technology, Caltex’s most advanced and best-performing formulation. C.O.R.E.+ Technology is an improvement over the previous C.O.R.E. Technology and further addresses key concerns especially in stressful city traffic conditions. These engine oils deliver a more enjoyable riding experience with enhanced engine performance and cleaning properties.

Apart from an upgrade in product technology, the entire Havoline Super 4T and SuperMatic 4T range also meets American Petroleum Institute (API) SN , one of the latest specifications in the industry. Previously, Havoline Super 4T semi-synthetic and mineral products were only meeting API SL  specifications. Now, meeting API SN specifications ensures that all Havoline Super 4T and SuperMatic 4T fully synthetic, semi-synthetic and mineral engine oils offer increased high temperature deposits protection for pistons, better wear control, and improved sludge control in urban, stop-and-go riding conditions. Most motorcycle and scooter engine oil brands in the region are only offering a mix of API SJ , SL and SN products.

In a time of a global pandemic, along with keeping one’s health in check, vehicles used for work need to also be in constant tiptop shape. With many motorcyclists using their two-wheelers for urban commuting in their line of work, it is important that Caltex Havoline tailors an engine oil that would be strong enough to stand up to the challenging conditions faced on a daily basis. These include a lack of acceleration when carrying heavy loads and high engine temperatures while stuck in traffic. Reliability is also a key concern, as downtime and money spent on repairs are unnecessary inconveniences.

“Today’s consumers are more discerning with the engine oils they choose, and most demand for better protection and performance of the engine, clutch and gearbox,” said Area Business Manager of Chevron Lubricants for Philippines Hafiz Nasar. “The newest generation of motorcycle engine oils spurs from our success of the previous Havoline motorcycle range and raises the bar for product performance across the industry. We constantly improve and evolve our products to meet the latest industry’s standards, while also keeping abreast of the lubrication requirements of vehicle manufacturers as their engine technology advances.”

Asia-Pacific accounts for 83% of the global two-wheel population, or 524.2 million units in absolute numbers (figures from “Kline Lubricants for Motorcycles, Scooters, and Mopeds. 2017: Global Market Analysis and Opportunities”). This number is only set to grow, fueled by rising urbanization in growing economies of the APAC region and increasing demand for transport in small cities. In 2019, the two-wheeler market in the Philippines hit the 8th all-time record in a row and 5th largest in the world. While the 2020 outlook isn’t good, the industry is expected to have a fast recovery next year.

C.O.R.E.+ Technology

      • Cleans and protects – Maintains efficient engine performance
      • Oxidation stability – Protects against oil degradation
      • Reduces engine heat damage – Delivers continuous and superior oil stability
      • Enhances acceleration – Improves clutch grip under high loads with ZOOMTECH

In addition, these engine oils (except SuperMatic 4T and Ezy 4T) are also formulated with ZOOMTECH, which delivers better oil frictional properties. For the everyday rider, this improves clutch grip and prevents slippage, especially under high load conditions, and ensures maximum power transfer for enhanced acceleration.

Lastly, the entire range of Havoline Super 4T and SuperMatic 4T engine oils now meet API SN performance specifications, which delivers benefits including:

      • High temperature piston deposit protection
      • Improved robustness in wear control
      • Enhanced oxidation thickening for better lubrication of the engine
      • Sludge control properties, especially in urban, stop-go conditions

The previously well-received Ride Strong campaign takes on a refreshing new look this year, with a more dynamic set of visuals that covers print, digital and OOH applications. Product labels and cartons have also been redesigned for better legibility.

Caltex range of products for motorcycles and scooters also include:

      • Caltex Havoline Ezy 4T SAE 20W-40 API SG JASO MA2
      • Caltex Havoline Scooter Gear Oil SAE 80W-90 API GL-5
      • Techron® Concentrate Plus – Motorcycle
      • Caltex Brake and Clutch Fluid DOT 3
      • Caltex Havoline Xtended Life Coolant (Premixed)

Hino introduces new Japan-sourced medium-duty 10-wheeler with cost-efficient 6×2 drivetrain and top-end 16-ton payload

Hino Motors Philippines (HMP), the country’s second-largest and longest-operating truckmaker, has just introduced the 500-series FL8J, a new 26-ton rigid-frame 10-wheeler truck with an efficiency-oriented 6×2 drivetrain.

With a 6-cylinder turbocharged, inter-cooled and directly injected diesel delivering 280PS and 824Nm to the first of its two rear axles, and this through an advanced 9-speed manual gearbox, the FL8J puts equal emphasis on stopping its 26,000kg gross vehicle weight, mounting dual-circuit air-actuated brakes with heavy-duty truck ABS.

The 7480mm between its front and rearmost axles give the new medium-duty Hino 500 FL8J the longest wheelbase in its class

The new Hino 500 FL8J gives the truckmaker the widest lineup of medium-duty trucks in the country and adds that general cargo 6×2 drivetrain option to the existing 6×4 offering on their FM8J 10-wheeler that’s meant for heavy aggregates tipper service.

Press Statement by Hino Motors Philippines (HMP), “Hino rolls out all-new FL 10-wheeler truck in PH,” 2020:

Manila, Philippines | 24 June 2020–Hino Motors Philippines (HMP), the exclusive distributor of Hino trucks and buses in the country, introduces the newest addition to its 500 series of medium-duty trucks, the all-new Hino FL 10-wheeler. The Facebook livestream launch of the latest Hino truck also marks the company’s first virtual launch in the Philippines.

Designed to provide Total Support, the all-new Hino FL 10-wheeler truck sets a new standard for medium-duty trucks with its improved safety and comfort, superior reliability and optimum fuel economy. We assure our customers of the Hino promise of reducing total running cost and downtime and maximizing lifetime value through the excellent quality of our aftersales services”, said HMP Chairman Vicente T. Mills, Jr.

HMP President Mitsuharu Tabata further highlighted the Hino FL 10-wheeler truck’s significance to Hino’s decades-long mission. “Every part of the new truck unit is engineered to deliver powerful performance. Like its predecessors, the truck bears the premium Japanese quality Hino is globally known for. This new truck embodies Hino’s mission of making the world a better place by helping people and goods get where they need to go – safely, economically and environmentally responsible,” shared Mitsuharu.

Powerful truck performance

The new Hino 500 truck, which has a complete truck model name of FL8J, supports a load capacity of up to 18,620kg and a total gross vehicle weight of 26,000kg. It is powered by Hino J08E, a six-cylinder and Euro 4-compliant engine that delivers increased output, greater cooling, improved fuel efficiency and lower carbon emission.

The truck uses a nine-speed manual transmission system and has 320L fuel capacity. It can reach up to 108kph maximum speed and 2,600rpm maximum engine speed, with 40.4 percent gradeability at full load capacity. Its suspension features semi-elliptical leaf springs on both the front and the rear side.

Improved safety and comfort

Highlighting Hino’s emphasis on safety, the all-new Hino FL truck is equipped with full-air dual circuit brakes with anti-lock braking system (ABS), featuring leading and trailing shoe brake system with auto brake shoe adjuster and air operated spring brake to assist during parking.

The truck is built with Hino’s Easy Start (ES) technology, which assists the driver in safely maneuvering the vehicle during steep inclines by maintaining a breaking force that prevents the truck from rolling backward and making other accidental movements. The ES technology simultaneously allows the driver to reduce fatigue by resting their feet off the brake pedals and automatically releasing the brakes once the clutch is engaged. This feature, which operates in both forward and reverse gears, optimizes the truck’s overall performance by minimizing maintenance costs through reduced stress placed on the brakes and clutch while boosting driver comfort and safety.

The easy-to-adjust seat suspension system is ergonomically designed to secure a smooth and safe ride for the driver and helps prevent back injuries. The truck’s air conditioning system, power windows and doors are all strategically assembled to boost the driver’s comfort, performance and productivity.

Availability

The all-new Hino FL truck is available in all Hino 3S dealerships nationwide at the starting price of Php3.775M for a 32ft. body. Customers may request a quotation online through Hino’s official Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/HinoMotorsPH/) page or website (http://hino.com.ph/).

Isuzu launches Boondock 4×4, tips D-Max lineup towards all-terrain variants

In what is their first-ever online-only launch, an event made virtual by current pandemic conditions, Isuzu Philippines introduces the new D-Max special edition Boondock 4×4 variants via a Facebook premiere today at 5PM.

Market response to the D-Max Boondock 4×2 that they launched in May 2019 was apparently strong enough to compel Isuzu to follow on with an all-terrain version of this limited edition build on the top-spec LS-A variant of their popular D-Max pickup.

Priced at P1.795M for the AT variant and at P1.725M for the MT, the new Boondock 4×4 appears to replace the Boondock 4×2 in Isuzu Philippines’ D-Max lineup, with their official pricelist now showing only the all-terrain variants of this special edition. Those SRPs are before a P95k discount that Isuzu is offering under their “Monsoon Promo” until the end of June 2020.

The Boondock 4×4 also re-balances the D-Max line-up. Of the 10 double-cab D-Max variants (distinct from the sole single cab bare chassis utilitarian variant), 5 now have 4×4 drivetrains … putting muscle behind their campaign and off-roader challenge to “Live Life Differently.”

Press Statement by Isuzu Philippines Corp. (IPC), “Isuzu PH’s 2020 D-MAX Boondock 4×4 online launch dares off-roaders to go beyond normal,” 2020:

At exactly 5 p.m. on June 17, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) digitally launches via Facebook Live the 2020 D-MAX Boondock 4×4, Isuzu’s ultimate off-roader and the perfect vehicle to herald IPC’s motoring lifestyle campaign—“Live Life Differently”—that boldly responds to the challenges of the new normal.

This would be IPC’s first-ever digital launch, marking the world-renowned truckmaker’s innovative response in the “new normal”.

Within the “Live Life Differently” mantra, IPC encourages its clients and would-be customers to discover the endless possibilities of driving an Isuzu vehicle. To “Live Life Differently” would mean to simply go beyond the comfort of our homes, to explore the outdoors, and open ourselves up to more adventures, all the while driving an Isuzu vehicle.

With the 2020 D-MAX Boondock 4×4, to “Live Life Differently” now gives the off-roader the added confidence to take his or her adventures a notch tougher, higher, and farther.

IPC President Hajime Koso proudly introduced the 2020 D-MAX Boondock 4×4 as “purposely named after the mountains. The Boondock boasts rough and rugged styling, coupled with the exceptional engine performance of Isuzu – perfect for off-road driving.”

No other pickup can symbolize the Filipino off-roader’s re-emergence from months of home confinement than the 2020 D-MAX Boondock 4×4, which has been designed to handle practically all types of terrain: sand, gravel, riverbed, mud, and rocks.

Built upon the popular 3.0L D-MAX 4×4 LS-A model, the Boondock trademark adds an even tougher, more rugged image with the tried-and-tested performance to back it up, making it the ideal pickup for the Filipino motorist looking for that one vehicle to embody the “can-do” attitude of a true off-roader.

The 2020 D-MAX Boondock 4×4 is powered by the Euro-4 compliant 4JJ1-TCX 4-Cylinder in-line Blue Power 3.0-liter diesel engine with VGS turbo charger and intercooler mated to a 6-speed manual transmission with gearshift indicator or a 6-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift, able to generate maximum power outputs of 177 PS at 3,600 RPM and 380 N-m of torque at 1,800 to 2,800 RPM.

This level of power and efficiency is also expressed in the D-MAX Boondock’s design and accessories. The monotube nitrogen-charged front and rear shock absorber ensures instantaneous response to changing road conditions, offering faster damping reaction. The result is an improved steering control in whatever terrain and driving condition.

Steel side steps not only offer easy access but valuable protection to the pickup body. Its honeycomb design with the “Boondock” logo is also easy to clean and provides better traction during ingress and egress.

The 2020 D-MAX Boondock 4×4 is fitted with 265/70 R17 all-terrain tires wrapped around matte black off-road rally type design R17 rims. The Boondock decal on the tailgate is now paired with a new hood and body customized graphics that pays tribute to the country’s highest “boondock”, Mt. Apo.

Isuzu punches up ‘Live Life Differently’ campaign with upcoming Facebook launch of new D-Max Boondock 4×4

A week from this Wednesday, on the 17th of June, Isuzu Philippines will launch the new all-terrain variant of the special Boondock edition of their popular D-Max pickup. To be done on Facebook, social media that’s been massively mainstreamed in the face of the global pandemic, the “Live Life Differently” launch is as much an introduction of the latest rendering of their top-spec pickup as it is a reminder of the resilience of Isuzu Philippines and their famously rugged utility vehicles.

Press Statement by Isuzu Philippines Corp. (IPC), “Isuzu PH rallies motorists to ‘Live Life Differently’ with its new D-MAX Boondock 4×4, digital launch scheduled June 17 via Facebook,” 2020:

For Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), the nearly three months that Filipino motorists and families spent with each other in the relative safety of their homes during the various stages of the community quarantines have imparted valuable life lessons and inspiration to live a life unlike they had before.

IPC President Hajime Koso conveys a message of hope for the Filipino people, IPC employees, and Isuzu customers: “We will emerge even stronger from every challenge. You can count on IPC to support you in your efforts to rebuild and recover. We support the Filipino people and its leaders as we get back on track to global greatness.”

In this light, IPC’s new campaign “Live Life Differently”, conceptualized just before this public health crisis began, now takes on a more meaningful light.

The “Live Life Differently” campaign encourages IPC’s clients and would-be customers to discover the endless possibilities of driving an Isuzu vehicle. To “Live Life Differently” would mean to simply go beyond the comfort of our homes, to explore the outdoors, and open ourselves up to more adventures, all the while driving an Isuzu vehicle.

The campaign is now the rallying cry for the new Isuzu D-MAX Boondock 4×4, which will be digitally launched via Facebook at 5 p.m. on June 17, 2020. This will be IPC’s first online vehicle launch, and it is but fitting that the campaign will be carried by Isuzu’s ultimate off-roader, that is now made available in 4×4 variant both for manual and automatic transmissions.

Mr. Koso stresses, “We move on from every challenge, and with every obstacle we hurdle, we must live life differently to be able to be tougher, more resilient, more enduring, and more dependable. The new D-MAX Boondock 4×4 is our response to the toughest challenge we have faced yet.”

Now, as the nation gradually reopens its economy and finds new opportunities, Isuzu and its “Live Life Differently” campaign can help the country build a roadmap to an even more robust transport economy and be the Filipino motorists’ vehicle to renew and strengthen bonds with one another.
